This is an antique countertop cash register. An American, decorative bronze Pound Sterling shop till by National Cash Register of Ohio, dating to the Edwardian period with a 1905 serial number.

  • Charming register chime operates in conjunction with the smooth cash drawer mechanism
  • Cash drawer with quality oak interior and lockable compartment to rear
  • 5 keys present including the top adder cover, print cage door and register mechanism lock
  • Delightful vitreous enamel plinth reflects the row of 27 keys above - two covers absent
  • Standing upon a continuous oak plinth with carved edge

Displaying the serial number 452845, this National Cash Register was supplied in England by the UK agent of Tottenham Court Road, West London. Presented throughout the cash register, the company name decorates the case and cash drawer. An informative plate detailing the company status at the turn of the century proudly states the company's capital and number of registers in use.

This is an alluring antique countertop cash register, graceful and ornate with a fascinating working mechanism and iconic chime. This wonderful example of early 20th century craftsmanship will delight those who observe it and is ideal for the collector of antique machinery or an institution.
