This is an antique coopered whisky barrel. A Scottish, oak and brass hallway stick or umbrella stand, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1870.

Fascinating reception hall decor, with traditional distillery appeal

Quality oak staves bow to the centre in a uniform manner
Presents rich caramel hues and fine grain interest beneath a wax polish finish
