This is an antique coffer, a long, French, oak blanket chest or trunk dating to circa 1800 and later.
- Attractive biscuit hues to the oak with a wax polished finish
- Grain interest throughout and a desirable aged patina
- Classic French styling, well suited to stand at the foot of a bed
- Pegged joints for added strength to the quality construction
- Triple field panel front and back with single panelled ends
- Stout, shaped stiles extend as legs with a broad serpentine apron
