This is an antique cleric's swing-out case. A Chinese, hardwood travelling box, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1890.
- Charmingly provincial box, presented in original time-worn condition
- Displays a desirable aged patina throughout
- Hardwood stocks present medium caramel hues
- Brass strapping to the corners — some minor loss
- Carved field panels adorn the case front with traditional Dogs of Fo
- Lid opens aiding access to a pair of swing out compartments
- Arrangement of three drawers to the centre beneath a galleried tray
- Drawers dressed with small, pierced brass drop handles
