This is a top quality, antique Austrian chest of drawers dating to c.1900.
This piece is skilfully crafted and presents superbly with a serpentine break-front and fine burråÊwalnut veneer. Riding upon a quartet of carved front feet, this chest offers excellent storage with four full width drawers dressed with the original brass pulls.
Moulded detail rises up through the canted corners into the carved, scrolled brackets and into the magnificent, shaped top displaying book-matched, butterflyed grain detail. Aside from the obvious design execution, the quality of the chest is further demonstrated in theåÊrobust dovetailing and thickness of stock used throughout.åÊThe top surface is in superb order and displays fantastic blond-wood grain.åÊ
