This is an antique carved court cabinet. An English, oak sideboard in Jacobean revival taste, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.

• Superb craftsmanship paying homage to the grand Jacobean tradition
• Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order

• Deep caramel hues presented beneath a wax polish finish

• Gallery upper hosts a distinctive crown top over a canted cabinet
• Adorned with leaf carvings, the crown hosts a hidden compartment to the right-hand side
• Bulbous carved pilasters stand prominently ahead of line fold carved panels
• Upper cabinet door with decorative carved frieze dressed with inset working lock — key present

• Lower arranged as a pair of drawers over two cupboard doors with dashing butterfly hinges
• Portcullis motif accentuates the door fronts, with small wooden pulls and working locks — key present
• Distinctive decorative fluting panels to drawer fronts with circular pulls for access
• Maker's mark to drawer box reads 'Bowman Bros Ltd, Camden, London'
• The whole stands upon a quintet of squat bun feet beneath a shallow apron
