This is an antique carriage chest, a Victorian pitch pine, metal bound trunk dating to circa 1900.

- Raised on a pair of sleds and metal bound for strength
- Loop drop handles to either end for carrying
- Riveted hinges and lock plates for strength
- Stout iron latch with bolt holes for added security
