This is an antique Britannia table. An English, mahogany over cast iron outdoor garden table from the Biclam Foundry, dating to the late 19th century, circa 1880.

Attractive top features a tiered edge
Wonderfully pierced apron with foliate motif
Large relief of the iconic, figural Britannia — with shield and detailed costume
Dressed with a trio of smaller relief busts in brighter tones

Pierced pot stand between legs with pattern detail
Inside leg features embossed Biclam name — one of Manchester's Victorian foundries
Raised upon lion's paw feet

This is a delightful antique Britannia table, ideal for use in an outdoor setting. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
