This is an antique boudoir clock. A French, ebonised mahogany and mother of pearl inlaid decorative wall clock, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1880.
- Expressive wall clock with with striking decorative finish
- Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
- Of distinctive tiered form, the ebonised mahogany frame presents a dark finish
- Original glass plate provides a clear, bright view of the clock face
- Face marked with Roman numerals, the time indicated by elegant circular spade hands
- Delicately accentuated fascia with mother of pearl and abalone shell inlay
- Eye-catching pair of boxwood and inlaid quatrefoils indicate twelve and six
- Secured by a latch to the underside, the frame opens upwards to access the winding ports and pendulum
- In working order, the clock replete with its pair of winding keys
- The brass pendulum engraved with the serial number 2010
- Dressed with a small iron hanging loop above the unusual hexagonal clock back
