This is an antique artist's easel. An English, pitch pine folding picture stand in Arts and Crafts taste, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.

Appealing gallery or studio stand with distinctive taste
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Pitch pine frame presents fine grain interest and rich russet hues
Delightfully shouldered, each stave graced with tactile chamfered edges
Of adjustable height, the pegged rest offers a range of 24.5cm (9.75")
Articulated rear leg folds for ease of carrying - the leather strop pulling taut when extended
