This is an antique 3 draw telescope. An English, brass 'Day or Night' terrestrial or astronomical refractor, dating to the mid Victorian period, circa 1860. 

Perfect for bird watching, landscape appreciation, wildlife, or maritime observation. Equally suitable for observing the night sky.

• Displaying a desirable aged patina, some light marks commensurate with use
• Fruitwood primary barrel shows rich russet hues and a lightly aged appearance

• Sun protection provided by a deep, sliding sun shade

• Inscribed 'Dolland London' – an anonymous manufacturer of the time, looking to trade off the infamous Dollond name
