A Pair of Early 20th Century Beech & Cane Armchairs
Our Stock # LFA-1263
This is a pair of antique open armchairs dating to c.1930.
The out-swept arms and wide seat draw the eye into the delightful woven cane seat and back panels that are in very good order throughout.
The colour and patina a delight on the solid beech frames that curve and wind pleasing the eye and belying the complexity and skill demonstrated in these modest looking chairs.
The out-swept rear legs are delicately chamfered with the front, cabriole legs scrolled and carved at the knee and resting upon pad feet. The shaped arms turn out at the end and feature a subtle, carved scroll detail.
Well made and a treat for the eye, solid joints, complete and taught cane, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
