Charles Howarth of Halifax
Charles Howarth of Halifax
Charles Howarth of Halifax was a prolific maker of stick and angle or ‘signpost' barometers, known for his use of paper register plates, as opposed to the more typical silvered faces. His years of operation within Halifax span from 1823 to 1852 and was succeeded by his son - and later - his grandson.
