This is a tall vintage decorative vase. An Oriental, ceramic baluster urn decorated with moriage, dating to the Art Deco period, circa 1940.
- Superb form with wonderful period detail
- Displaying a desirable aged patina with minimal wear commensurate with age
- Decorated ceramic with distinctive moriage applications
- Mellow hues applied over a predominantly cream ground
- Two large panel scenes to the front and reverse sides
- Incidental foliate motif overlaid against the background
- Unusual gilt finished forms to the neck framing small floral shields
- The flared rim decorated with a painted border, dark vermillion border to the underside
- Cobalt blue band to the base with repeating pattern around its circumference
- Finished with a small maker's mark to the underside
