This is an antique gentleman's club serving tray. An English, ebonised walnut and boxwood inlaid afternoon tea tray, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1880.
- Fascinating elongated oval form, ideal for decanters and glasses
- Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
- Ebonised walnut frame presents a lightly weathered black finish
- Striking polished walnut tray surface shows fine grain interest and warm caramel hues
- Fine example of the distinctive Aesthetic period taste
- Accentuated to the centre with an inlaid boxwood octagonal star motif
- Boxwood and ebonised stringing adds further attractive decoration
- Serpentine raised handles with turned pulls adorn the domed ends
