This is an antique author's chest. An English, flame mahogany breakfront secretaire cabinet, dating to the Georgian period, circa 1780. 

• Beautifully alluring cabinetry, with superb colour and of useful proportion
• Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order

• Rich caramel hues beam beneath a quality wax polish finish

• Graced with a narrow proportion, perfect for a nook or alcove

• Glazed book shelf upper, with adjustable shelves

• Double-fronted upper drawer with drop fascia to reveal the secretaire function
• Beautifully aged inset crimson leather skiver ahead of a bank of drawers and compartments
• Each fascia dressed with a pair of brass drop handles
• Working locks throughout, supplied with two keys for the upper and lower section
