This is an antique adjustable reading table. An English, mahogany event lectern or recital stand, dating to the William IV period, circa 1835.

Offers six stops of adjustment, situated within an inset metal bracket
Risers concealed within striking gadrooned legs, gently tapering to the feet
Pair of shaped trestle feet with bulbous scrolled toes
The stand riding gently upon a quartet of blind castors
