This is an antique campaign cellarette. An English, mahogany and brass colonial storage box, dating to the mid Victorian period, circa 1850.

Impressive proportion and of a quality finish and appearance
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Select stocks show fine grain interest and warm russet hues
Brass caps adorn each corner for lasting strength

Shallow lid opens to reveal a generous, pleasingly clean interior
The lid opening upon a pair of internal brass hinges
Dressed with an inset brass-lined lock — in working order, key present
Striking, stout cast brass handles to each side, articulating for ease of use
Raised upon a quartet of turned bun feet
