This is an antique tea service. An English, silver plated, hand chased teapot and jug set by John Turton of Sheffield, dating to the late 19th century, circa 1900. 

• Pleasingly decorative, late Victorian afternoon tea service
• Displaying a desirable aged patina with minimal tarnish
• Silver plate shows a clear, bright reflection to the gently polished surface
• Comprehensive service with tea urn, teapot, sugar tray and milk jug

• Superb hand-chased foliate patterns issuing scrolled motif, spring flowers and vines decorate each piece
• Teapot lids dressed with foliate handles, stood prominently above the whole
• Graceful c-scroll handles to each, with gentle flourishes adorning the apex
• All four pieces standing upon a quartet of leaf decorated feet
• John Turton, Sheffield maker's marks to base, all with matching serial number of 0799
