This is an antique orangery planting table. An English, mahogany and cast iron portico or serving table, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
- Beautiful orangery piece, ideal for planting, serving or as period detail
- Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout
- Superb, single piece top shows fine grain interest and rich caramel hues
- Painted cast iron base presents and appealing, old English white finish
- The whole standing upon a a pair of substantial trestle feet
- Relief cast detail accentuates the base, with bead and scroll motif
- Legs united with a stretcher rail across the span, with stout exposed bronze tightening caps to the ends
- Maker's marks cast into the trestle foot, for Gaskell & Chambers, Barfitters of Leicester
