This is an antique ladies work table. An English, burr walnut ladies sewing table, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1850.

- Burr walnut stocks present fine grain interest
- Deep caramel hues throughout, beneath a quality wax polish finish
- Striking figuring to the lid with boxwood inlaid detail
- Suite of compartments dressed with a quality paper interior
- Four smaller lidded compartments sit around the central lid
- Lid removes to reveal the deep tapering under box, ideal for fabric
- Shaped edges to each apron adds a distinctive appearance, front fascia with inset lock — key absent
- Stout turned supports with foliate covers to the knee
- Standing upon a quartet of cabriole legs with baluster turned stretcher rail
- Riding smoothly upon a set of four brass castors
