This is an antique Bijouterie table. A French, kingwood and brass glazed display vitrine, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1870.
- Striking Bijouterie with a superb glazed upper and fine figuring
- Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout
- Quality Kingwood stocks show fine grain interest and deep caramel hues
- Accentuated throughout with eye-catching gilt brass detail
- Presents in the classic drum form, with an appealing circular glazed top
- Quality glass, with internal bevel and bright appearance - light markings commensurate with age
- Dressed to the fascia with a brass lock escutcheon — in working order, key present
- Opens to a silk cotton lined interior, buttoned to the base and ruched to the sides
- Inlaid gilt fluting to the fascia sits above brass collars at each leg
- Of tall, slender profile, each leg also hosts inlaid fluting
- The whole standing upon a quartet of brass toes
