This is an antique celebration chest. An Indian, teak and brass trunk, ideal as an occasional coffee table, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.

Handsome Anglo-Indian trunk with fine craftsmanship and striking colour
Quality teak stocks display rich russet hues and fine grain interest
Robust lid and fascia accentuated with decorative brass strapping throughout
Dressed with a brass lock escutcheon to fascia — key absent
Lid opens smoothly to reveal a superbly appointed interior
Fitted with multiple compartments and removable trays, ideal for versatile storage
Lid interior features an additional gallery section for smaller keepsakes
Fascia hosts a deeply carved fruiting vine frieze, adding ornate detail
Dressed to the sides with brass drop handles for ease of movement
