This is an antique decorative serving tray. An English, mahogany and boxwood afternoon tea tray, dating to the Regency period, circa 1830.
- Superb late Georgian craftsmanship, with wonderful colour and finish
- Displays a desirable aged patina and in very good order throughout
- Select stocks present fine grain interest and rich russet hues
- Large inlaid boxwood scallop shell motif set within an oval medallion
- Distinctive sash tray lip dressed with rolled brass carry handles to either end
- Finished with a fascinating dappled leather protective pad to the base
This is a delightful antique decorative serving tray, ideally suited to the finest of gatherings or club lounges. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready to serve.
