This is an antique coal purdonium. An English, oak and brass fireside store in Arts & Crafts taste, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1890.

Fine decorative appeal to accentuate the fireplace
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Select oak stocks present warm biscuit and caramel hues throughout
Dressed with brass fittings, adding a mellow golden tonality

Attractive lid with a quartet of brass capping, decorated with fan detail
Opens with a small circular pull, accentuated with concentric rings
Removable cast iron coal liner aids ease of cleaning
Replete with quality coal scoop, with turned beech handle
