This is an antique extending book slide. A French, burr walnut and brass book rack, dating to the mid Victorian period, circa 1850.

- Striking burr walnut shows fine grain interest and warm caramel hues
- Brass mounts to either end present subtle golden tones
- Ends presented with oval cutouts over painted enamel foliate scenes
