This is a quality vintage verdure panel. A Belgian, jacquard woven decorative wall scene, dating to the late 20th century, circa 1980.
- Fascinating example of the William Morris tapestry of 1900, housed in the Birmingham Museum
- Displays a desirable aged patina and in very good order
- Delightfully detailed with an attractive colour palette
- Influenced by 15th century works, the tapestry depicts the shields of knights from the round table
- Text banner informs of the knights present including Galahad, Lancelot and Tristan
- Colourful shields hang from well-detailed tress with grazing deer beneath
- Each shield decorates the border with visual aplomb
- Maker's label to rear for Flemish Tapestries of Belgium
