This is a vintage 'Tree of Life' rug. A Persian, woven decorative hall or lounge carpet, dating to the mid 20th century, circa 1960.
- Of Dozar size, this profusely detailed rug measures 125cm x 200cm (49.25" x 78.25")
- Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order with light wear present
- Rich in colour, the burgundy red ground hosts a dark midnight blue tree motif
- Offering a comfortable underfoot feel for the hallway or lounge
- The large tree of life motif hosts an array of flora and fauna in fine detail
- Flowering vines are visited by birds, whilst deer, sheep and big cats flourish around it
- The tramline border as vigourously detailed as the central medallion
- Finished with bands of loose tassels at each end - some losses present
