This is an antique adjustable fire curb. An English, ornate brass hearth fender in Great Exhibition taste, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1850.

• Presents a wondrous level or ornamentation to enhance a grand fireplace
• Displays a desirable aged patina and in good antique order throughout
• Polished brass presents excellent golden tonality with minimal tarnishing
• Set in three pieces, with the outer urns adjusting to extend or narrow the width

• Profuse level of motif and detail, with sash garlands, flowerheads and fruits
