This is a wide antique dressing stool. An English, walnut bedroom seat, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1840.

Comfortable and of a generously wide proportion
Displays a desirable aged patina throughout
Delightful walnut frame shows fine grain interest and rich caramel hues
Well upholstered with a traditionally stuffed cushion

Functional and robust cotton upholstery with fleur-de-lys pattern
Some marks to fabric present commensurate with careful use

Frame hosts relief carved foliate motif with a quartet of cabriole legs on pad feet
