This is an antique carved tiger. An Asian, solid teak and bone decorative statue, dating to the early 20th century, circa 1920.

A prowling, handcrafted Panthera tigris
Displays a desirable aged patina
Skilfully carved solid teak captures the powerful haunches with deep russet hues

The eyes realised in amber-coloured glass
Decorative markings adorn the lithe form
Predatory fangs crafted from bone add contrast

This is a superb, charming antique carved tiger with high decorative appeal. Diminutive in size - ideal as desk ornamentation, or equally at home in a collector's cabinet. Delivered polished and ready for display.
