This is a vintage tea gong. An Oriental, mahogany framed dinner or prayer bell, dating to the Art Deco period, circa 1940.

Superb dragon motif adorns a fascinating gong and frame
Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order
Select stocks to frame present deep russet hues and fine grain interest
Quality bronze bell shows warm golden tonality
Bell suspended centrally within a striking fretwork frame
Struck with an accompanying beech striker, with a hook to the side
When struck, the bell presents a distinctive, robust peel
Bell housing accentuated with a dragon relief to the circumference
