This is a vintage decorative torchere. An English, mahogany planter or jardiniere stand in the Cotswold manner, dating to the late 20th century, circa 1980.

Fascinating torchere stand with attractive form
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Select stocks show fine grain interest and bright caramel hues
Square top surface with low edge supported upon distinctive shaped brackets
Tapering support column with an open atrium effect
Standing upon opposed sets of trestle feet with stepped bracket toes
