This is a vintage decorative spice jar. An Oriental, ceramic ginger or tea caddy, dating to the mid 20th century, circa 1940.

Pleasingly bulbous in form with classically appealing decor
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good original order
Clear, white ground hosts light blue foliate patterns
Central flowerhead motif repeated upon the circular lid
Greek key border pattern adorns the circumference of the base
