Victorian Nest of Japanned Tables, c.1880
Our Stock # LFA-1307
This is an antique nest of four occasional tables dating to c.1880.
Ebonised with gilt inlay and a Japanned finish, each table is beautifully decorated with a different scene on the top surfaces and garlands to the friezes at the tops of the legs.
Raised on arched feet the legs are lyre shaped pierced with arrowhead detail, bow stretchers lending stability and balance to the tables. Each nestles within the next and stack neatly away into the largest when not required.
A fine example of Victorian, oriental export ware. Solid joints, delivered polished ready for the home.
