This is a rare set of 6 vintage Windsor chairs. An English, walnut and beech elbow or armchair, in Victorian country house revival taste, dating to the late 20th century, circa 1970.

• Superb country house appeal, in a rare and unusually large set
• Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
• Walnut and beech stocks show fine grain interest throughout

• The arched top rail narrows gracefully as it meets the horse shoe arm
• A pierced, shaped back splat sits between slender spindles
• Aforementioned horseshoe arms raised upon tightly arched supports
• Broad seat squab set at a comfortable height of 43cm (17'')
  
  
• Raised upon cabriole legs at the front with broad scallop knees
• United by a striking crinoline stretcher with turned spindles meeting the rear legs
• Of turned baluster and collar form, the rear legs gently taper and splay from the frame
