This is a large vintage Imari bowl. An Oriental ceramic serving dish and dating to the mid 20th century, circa 1940.

Of classic form and decor
Displays a desirable aged patina
Rich colour throughout - a hallmark of Imari taste

Gently scalloped rim with floral ground and inset hexagonal panels
Central flower with red petals, delineated with pinstripe around the circumference
The base further decorated with a continuous patterned band
