This is an antique veranda tea table. An Indian, mahogany and copper octagonal Benares table, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
- Exquisite detail and great size emphasise this excellent example
- Displays a desirable aged patina and in good original order
- Select stocks with a distinctive ebonised finish
- Profusely pierced fretwork creates visual interest throughout
- Striking inset copper tray to the top, with an ornate engraved pattern of repoussé and fretwork
- Of fine appearance, with a central rosette and outer fish symbolism
- Each leg adorned with relief carvings, issuing flowerheads on stems
- Cross hatch panels adorn each leg, with finely pierced fretwork
