This is a very large vintage Keshan rug. A Persian, room-sized decorative carpet, dating to the late 20th century, circa 1970.

Of room proportion at an impressive 298cm x 500cm (117.25" x 196.75")
Displaying minimal wear or fading, some marks
Tightly woven in a complementary palette of natural hues
Graced with wonderful underfoot comfort for the living room or large entrance hall

Large central medallion in an appealing mint green pile, with ornate lozenge centrepiece
Chased leaf pattern, or Mir-i-bota adds attractive secondary detail to the ground
Broad panels offering kaleidoscope gul medallions presented within continuing borders
Bands of loose tassels dress each end of this generously sized rug
