This is a pair of antique mounted horse rider bookends. An English, polished bronze and cast iron figural book rest, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1890.

• Quality bronze with a bright golden tonality, cast into superb form

• Each horse shows tack and reins, saddle detail and the infantryman's sword
• Later lead weight applied to the base, with scope for use as distinctive door stops
