This is an antique pedestal desk. An English, oak and leather writing table, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1880.

• An attractive single pedestal desk offering fine colour and craftsmanship
• Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
• Select oak shows fine grain interest and rich caramel hues
• Newly laid, quality leather skiver with triple embossed and tooled finish

• Arranged as a suite of four plus one drawers beneath the generous top surface
• A low back rest acts as a header to the tactile, eye-catching writing surface
• Accentuated with attractive gold tooling, the skiver of generous size
• Document slide nestled between the first and second drawer adds further versatility

• Each drawer dressed with brass drop handles upon shaped backplates
• Inset locks to each drawer - untested, keys absent
• Engraved to each lock for Hobbs & Co, the Anglo-American furniture specialist
• Rides upon four castors, two concealed beneath the pedestal and a pair adorn the turned legs
