This is an antique decorative fire back. An English, cast iron hearth panel, dating to the mid Victorian period, circa 1850.

Charmingly decorative relief, ideal for adding interest to a traditional fireplace
Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good original order
Slender cast iron form with excellent relief casting
Presents a good, consistent graphite finish throughout
Set within a foliate border, two musicians play their trumpet and marching drums

This is an appealing antique decorative fire back, usefully narrow for the smaller fireplace. Delivered polished and ready to use.
