This is an antique bureau in mahogany. An English, Georgian desk featuring secret compartments, dating to circa 1780.

• Raised on ogee bracket feet so typical of the late Georgian era
• Drawers arranged: 3 over 3, graduated
• A pair of narrow loper drawers withdraw to support the fall
• Drawers dressed with solid, cast brass drop handles and keyhole linings, key absent

• The locking fall opens to reveal fitted interior desk space
• The locking central cupboard with secret slides to either side
• Two shaped waterfall drawers either side flanking two further drawers beneath cubbies
• The drawers dressed with pulls and slide smoothly
