This is an antique taxidermy specimen dome. An English, glass and ebonised beech tall showcase, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.

Well proportioned Victorian dome, ideal for displaying medium-tall exhibits
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout
Quality glass presents a clear, bright view to the interior
Dressed with a distinctive textured cushion pad in an attractive tan hue
Ebonised pine base with tiered edge, sealing against the glass
The dome raised upon a trio of squat bun feet
